    If you settle more than an hour from the mine and request it, we will accommodate you near the mine while at work.

    We are currently running alternate production schedules with Saturday and Sunday off, or Friday through Sunday off under normal operations. Weekend Warrior schedule consists of Friday, Saturday and Sunday work - Monday through Thursday off.

     

    • Chief Mining Engineer P.E.

      The Senior Mining Engineer is responsible for all mine engineering activities in support of the successful operation of the New Elk Coal Bates Portal Mine, as well as development of related engineering standards and processes.

      Responsibilities will include leading the Mine Engineering Team. This position will also provide expert technical guidance for the mine engineering discipline for operations and project works.

      Job Type: Full-Time

      Salary: $125,000.00 per year

      Responsibilities and Duties

      Operations Support:

      • Coordinate engineering activities to proactively support the mine production and processing operations.
      • Ensure mine mapping and permitting are provided on-time and in-full to support operations.

      Technical Support:

      • Own mine ventilation model.
      • Deliver monthly production reconciliations.
      • Execute select projects and support of others projects.

      Qualifications:

      The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

      • Advanced degree in Mining Engineering.
      • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in underground mining environment.
      • Previous mining construction and / or start-up experience.
      • Registration as a Professional Engineer.
      • Familiarity with relevant MSHA underground mining specific standards.
      • Extensive experience in underground mine planning and operations.
      • Mine dewatering and grouting.
      • In-depth familiarity with CIM and SME mineral reserve and resource reporting standards.
      • Mine ventilation.

    • General Mine Foreman / Superintendent

      The job purpose is to develop mine schedules that support the operation in achieving the budgeted mine plan. The role will include assisting the General Manager to ensure the mine production and development goals are achieved by implementing ongoing change when and where needed to improve safety and productivity performance.

      Job Type: Full-Time

      Wage: $130,000.00 negotiable based on experience
